The N3 highway is just two minutes away from Equestre, which is situated 10 Kms outside of Pietermaritzburg. Views from the veranda, overlooking the bush-veld with free roaming game and a man-made dam just a stone’s throw away from the guesthouse, are soothing and relaxing.
Many varieties of bush- veld birds are found and bird and bush walks make you feel as though you are many miles away. The farmyard, stables and paddocks with horses are on the adjacent property.

Our stay was fantastic! Everything was taken care of from our early check in to every detail in our room, including soft towels and dressing gowns (with slippers)!!! There honestly was not a thing missing that one would expect from 5 star accommodation anywhere in the world!No exaggeration!

Amazing stay
We were there for a friends wedding that wasn’t too far away. Hugh and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was a very good size, beds were so comfy and we were supplied with milk and coffee.
